Stay away
1.0Current Employee / Senior Software Engineer
Pros: - company pays 100% medical insurance premium , some perks like technology and lifestyle spend, but no 401k match so I wouldn’t say pros one balances the other to some extent
Cons: - middle management has no basic people leader skills, constant gaslighting. - ridiculously slow CI/CD process impacting productivity, you spend more time shipping then building a product - poor architecture and lot of bad decisions will...

Terrible toxic culture
2.0Current Employee / Product Manager
Pros: Benefits, compensation, and some of the people are great. Work life balance is generally good
Cons: Terrible management, opaque promotions, some really toxic people. Many people who were hired when Affirm was small are still here and should not be.

Subpar Management, Cool coworkers
3.0Current Employee / Program Manager
Pros: - Benefits and comp are pretty good (if stock is doing well) - ICs worked with were great - Fully remote/no in office requirements - Company would have a decent chance at making good money if leadership was better
Cons: - Worst management in my career - bush league and self important - Chaotic for no reason, forcing everyone to work twice as hard due to lack of alignment/focus - High “pressure” not great for WLB - Career growth opaque at best, ghost P...

Great career growth and compensation
5.0Current Employee / Senior Software Engineer
Pros: - Quite strong compensation looking at EU market - Skip-level manager and higher leadership is approachable and open for feedback - Good work-life balance, work can be demanding at times but you can take time off later to recharge
Cons: - Had a few managers and their performance differs, but I see Affirm is constantly raising the bar here; If you got bad one likely they will be replaced - Quite dynamic environment, can become chaotic, but there is clear rationale for ch...

Good benefits, high stress, mediocre comp
3.0Current Employee / Staff Software Engineer
Pros: Benefits like insurance is ok, fully remote, CEO, flexible time off policy
Cons: High stress fast pace environment. Leadership is committed to only target mediocre compensation. No 401k match.

Good comp but poor oncall
4.0Current Employee / Senior Software Engineer
Pros: - Has pretty decent comp - Benefit is well with expenditure wallets
Cons: - Poor oncall - Engineers are not rewarded for resolving tech debt

Operates like a start up, which doesn’t always work for a midsize company
4.0Current Employee / Risk Compliance Analyst
Pros: - Great values and people - Flexibility - Interesting products - Doing well as a business
Cons: - Very few resources or structure to ensure managers are doing right by their employees - Lack of growth in headcount can make it hard to advance into people management without a lot of turnover
