It's fine, but nothing special
2.0Current Employee / Senior Software Engineer
Pros: One of the few remaining large tech companies with remote positions. WLB is generally good, but team dependent.
Cons: Leadership seems unsure how to greatly increase revenue. Not a lot of big bets being made right now.

Fun place
5.0Current Employee / Senior Software Engineer
Pros: Remote work is the best! And having offices in big cities gives a way to go into office.
Cons: Regressive performance evaluation makes life hard. Alienation because onsite are placed far apart due to budget cuts

Ok pay, bad culture
2.0Current Employee / Senior Software Engineer
Pros: Decent base pay though sbc has dropped significantly because of sp decline
Cons: Difficult to collaborate across teams and architectural issues with dev tooling that are ignored by leadership

Poor vision worthless management
3.0Current Employee / Product Analyst
Pros: Comp and wfh is the only benefit no need to join
Cons: Poor management and worthless stock only join if you value that

Was better before, it’s become a mini-Meta
3.0Current Employee / Software Engineer
Pros: Remote and good level of autonomy. Can work on direct customer benefit features
Cons: Very intense and need to work across multiple time zones

Ever changing landscape, great people to work with
4.0Former Employee / Account Executive
Pros: Great people. Atlassian takes their values seriously and it shows. People are smart, respectful, and willing to help out. Lots of tenured people who have helped build the company. Good benefits and strong product fit.
Cons: The annual performance review system really blows and is what determine if you get a raise or if you get a yearly bonus (if eligible). Internal mobility is really tough because you’re competing against other brilliant people. Morale is d...

The CTO destroyed the culture with sycophants, then left
2.0Current Employee / Product Manager
Pros: If you have a good manager and skip, it can still be a good place to work. But if they don’t protect you from the schizophrenia of incoming (top-down and lateral) tasks, your life will be terrible.
Cons: Utterly embarrassing how poor central planning and prioritization is for a company that makes some pretty slick tools to make this easy, uniform, and transparent. This, along with the massive number of transplants from Microsoft and Meta...

No longer a destination tech company
3.0Current Employee / Account Executive
Pros: WLB, the people, opportunity if you want to play the game
Cons: Political, favoritism, poor leadership vision, process lacking, low AI adoption

Good work life balance based on team. APEX reviews bring down productivity
4.0Current Employee / Engineer
Pros: Easy WL balance depending on team. Nothing is mission critical so I'm not working past 5pm or wasting my weekends.
Cons: Apex reviews have ruined how this company works. Everyone is so worried about things like org impact that they no longer are focused on doing good work, but work that can be viewed as good for apex.
