Good Comp, Poor WLB, Okay management
4.0Current Employee / Software Engineer II
Pros: Comp is mid-high tier for FAANG-adjacent companies. Management varies by team, some are incompetent political hacks and some are genuinely great.
Cons: Grind culture is abundant here from the top down. There are certain teams where WLB is tolerable but most are expected to attend offsite where you work 14 hour days minimum. Outside of the offsites WLB can be manageable. Stock based co...

Salary is great, other than that, it’s a bit of a mess
4.0Current Employee / Product Designer
Pros: Great salary, I’m earning much more than my peers in the industry. I’ve lucked out and have a great manager, but have heard this is not a common experience.
Cons: Feels more like a chaotic startup vibe, product managers are a huge hit and miss (mostly very bad, with few exceptions). Very weak on data and quite weak on product processes.

Average people with poor management
3.0Current Employee / Staff Software Engineer
Pros: Wlb can be good depending on team, decent autonomy and career development if you grind
Cons: Management very political, no clear direction, talented folks get managed out while politicians stay

Best for Remote Work
4.0Current Employee / Senior Software Engineer
Pros: Decent work-life balance. Mostly industry-standard tech so your skills can carry over. Awesome AI tooling
Cons: Management thrash. Lots of leaders left. Some questionable AI tools that look like promo projects with little real value.

Good company, but career growth is very political
4.0Current Employee / Senior Software Engineer
Pros: - Good engineers working there. - Reasonable WLB depending on org and team. - Good compensation. - Interesting technical problems to solve.
Cons: - perf cycle revolves around Google Docs, and these docs not necessarily is proportional to the things that were actually built and shipped. - career growth depends on politics, you have to play the political game if you want to grow. -...
