Sinking ship
2.0Current Employee / Software Engineer
Pros: Above average compensation Work from home Able to work remotely
Cons: Ruined by cronyism. It’s become a retirement home for Xooglers and their friends. Toxicity increased hundred fold with engineering management from Amazon/ Apple creating a terrible culture and bringing in their minions

relatively nice people
4.0Current Employee / Software Engineer
Pros: on average, the people I've encountered and worked with are nicer than I've encountered at other tech companies
Cons: questionable decisions by leadership, some teams can run pretty lean, and political to have any career growth

Good WLB, remote, poor everything else
2.0Current Employee / Staff Software Engineer
Pros: Pinterest is arguably the only big company that still has remote options with decent work-life balance and okay-ish compensation, even though benefits can be hit and miss.
Cons: Layoffs were done very randomly, apparently, last time, so a lot of people that were actually important to the business were let go. That means that there are a lot of gaps that have to be covered somehow. Leadership is lost in just try...
