    Sinking

    4.0

    Current Employee / Software Engineer

Pros: Decent comp and benefits. Competent ICs. Only a few years ago this was a very exeptional company.

Cons: Standards and progression across teams and orgs is super, super wide. Low performers are not at all punished, high performers are not rewarded. Almost no one is PIPed, even when they are actively trying to get fired. Some orgs with almos...

    best wlb for comp

    4.0

    Current Employee / Engineer

Pros: It is pretty good for the following - comp - wlb

Cons: mid for the following - boomer - maintenance - blocked growth

  • 3. May 27, 2026

    Chaotic

    3.0

    Current Employee / Data Scientist

Pros: Pay and benefits are decent and fast paced (good and bad)

Cons: Extremely chaotic these days, constant change of priorities and top down stuff Career progression is none unless you play the corporate game and politics very well

  • 4. May 27, 2026

Overall tightening of WLB, good pay but management is poor

    2.0

Former Employee / Machine Learning Engineer

Pros: Pay you a lot of money to just do as you’re told

Cons: More toxic by the day, leadership is not clear at all, shifting goals

  • 5. May 19, 2026

Was tolerable until the stock crashed

    3.0

    Current Employee / Technical Director

Pros: The product is popular, large part of the work is interesting, WLB is actually quite chill in most teams. They give out good comp at join. The refreshers are a bit lackluster, but it was great overall while the growth was crazy.

Cons: Toxic leadership, micromanagement, no real vision. Every project comes on a whim, is a haphazard rush to ship V0, then celebrated as success, and abandoned. Your skills rot in a mess of legacy code that's never properly fixed. Now with t...

  • 6. May 12, 2026

    Solid for new grads

    4.0

    Current Employee / Software Engineer

Pros: Good scope of projects early on, team dependent, but low likelihood of getting pushed out until higher level and rest+vesting

Cons: Management can really suck on certain teams with pretty frequent prioritization shifts. Luckily my team isn’t terrible, but depending on the org you could be in an annoying position

  • 7. May 11, 2026

    So far satisfied

    4.0

    Current Employee / Software Engineer

Pros: Good compensation given the WLB (not for all teams though). Nice people.

Cons: Upper leadership – they do seem dumb as others say.

  • 8. May 8, 2026

    engine org is okay

    3.0

    Current Employee / Software Engineer

Pros: - lots of very smart IC - fun product - not stressful

Cons: - engineering productivity is not prioritized / aligned with engineers - low transparency in decisions from leadership - slow career growth, used to be fast, now perhaps slower than big tech like google - socialism, lets poor performers...

  • 9. May 8, 2026

Decent pay, bad leadership, okay culture

    4.0

Current Employee / Site Reliability Engineer

Pros: Pay Food Team Manager Wlb The above things are good

Cons: Leadership Product Stock These are bad things at Roblox, hmm

  • 10. May 8, 2026

    Micromanage + top down culture

    2.0

    Current Employee / Data Scientist

Pros: Maybe the pay, but with the current stock price, hardly anything.

Cons: Leaders are clueless and only promote friends or people in their network. Very hard to break into the “friends circle” and leaders don’t accept candid feedback.
