Probably the most vanilla tech company out there
4.0Current Employee / Senior Manager Customer Service
Pros: - Individual role performance goals are achievable - mediocre leadership (yes that’s a pro it’s so bad out there) - benefits are good once you’re a high enough level to get them all - full remote but hasn’t gone full big brother (yet) -...
Cons: - US based employees walk on eggshells due to annual goals on reducing annual costs - ^^^ can lead to over achievement just to stay employed as “business critical” employee - heavily corporate-focused goals and placating to shareholders...

Leadership could be better
4.0Current Employee / Software Engineer
Pros: Compensation is great. Fully remote, so that is a positive too
Cons: Leadership keeps changing and requirements change, so a lot of ambiguity for a developer

Great wlb
4.0Current Employee / Software Engineer
Pros: Really good work life balance. If you have a manager that is chill and protects you, it’s an easy environment where you can vest and rest. Fully remote which is a plus
Cons: Constantly changing priorities, very difficult to get promoted or challenging technical work. Career growth stops here.

Great WLB
3.0Current Employee / Product Designer
Pros: As designer there isn’t much upsides in terms of design culture or learnings. But 100% remote and flexible work schedule, plus a better than industry avg. comp, makes it a good company to work for.
Cons: Fully remote also meant it is harder to build relationships with peers and higher up. Also there isn’t much of resource for learning or upskill.

Great people, great culture, middle management sucks
4.0Current Employee / Engineer
Pros: Great ICs, great culture Good work life balance Ok pay
Cons: Middle management really sucks, my current manager and previous manager have no clue about anything, have no value to add, 100% bureaucracy

Lots of re-orgs and changes
4.0Current Employee / Engineering Manager
Pros: Stock is rebounding as company is getting more profitable. Good benefits.
Cons: Too many re-orgs and changes. It can be tough to keep up with. Constant push by leadership to do more with less.

Solid business
4.0Current Employee / Software Engineer
Pros: Strong business with hard to replicate capabilities in the core
Cons: Still working through to find its way in the AI future

Decent experience
3.0Current Employee / Support Engineer
Pros: Twilio has a solid product portfolio and strong brand recognition in the communications space, which makes it a decent place to learn and build experience.Compensation is generally competitive, though recent changes have made it less com...
Cons: Internal execution can feel inconsistent, with frequent shifts in priorities and lack of clear direction from leadership. This can lead to rework and some frustration across teams. Work-life balance depends heavily on your org, but there...
